What happens when we disappear ... 
from sight, 
from hearing, 
from each other, 
from life? 

Life is full of both fun and disturbing disappearances. Underlying the games of life, lie realities that affect us all. 

What happens when we disappear forever? 

Our first rehearsals were spent playing around, on, under, behind and through various big objects with a few friends (Corinne Baumgartner-Urquhart, Tara Kent and Heather Clark). From the video footage we developed ideas for three sections around some “Reverse Garbage” objects duly arranged and decorated to fulfill our purposes.  With the help of Nick McKay and Heather Clark (voice-overs), the work was completed just after Easter 1999. 

So with our cobalt blue curtain filled door, a yellow foam woven mesh tower, a furry green pin board and a bright pink barrel, we have been having lots of fun. Now don't get me wrong; it's tough work when you play the role of  director, choreographer, dancer, newsletter editor, promotions officer, props painter, gofer and generals dogs body (all with the help of Steve and Hannah of course) but I guess that's just the way it is initially in a small company. A far cry from the luxuries of professional musical theatre where you just turn up and perform. BUT I wouldn't exchange positions for the world at the moment. 

However, we are certainly looking for assistance with props, set and costume design and construction, plus a newsletter editor and administration assistant. Please give us a call if are able and interested. 

Anyway, the piece is a lot of fun with a short, sharp ending that gives the audience something to think about.

Handcrafted from the finest historical records, washed in a bath of artistic interpretation and coated with a thin glaze og collaboration, this work shows the heart of a people confronted by a Saviour, the heart of a Saviour confronted by his people and a Saviour of people confronting the heart. 

If You are willing, You can make me clean. 
If You are willing, just say the word. 
If You are willing, You can save us. 
If You are willing, send us into the pigs. 

If you are willing, you can hear and understand. 

("If You are Willing" is based on the book of Matthew chapters 4,8,9 & 12, The Holy Bible and was performed at the Bible Challenge, Prom Praise and PLAY)

Based on selected parts of our life stories, this work is a journey exploring decisions - our motivations and the consequences. We begin with the memory of a bitter moment from the past, which then instigates a journey back through our lives to the present. Beginning with childhood, revisiting moments that formed our characters and beliefs, seeing a growing awareness of ourselves, remembering times where we stepped through inappropriate "doors" and celebrating the voyage to now: what we have learnt; how we are healed; the wisdom learned from mistakes; and the freedom gained from the doors that are for walking through.

("Doors" was performed at Black Stump Festival and PLAY and will be reworked for a season in 2000)
